Since the fall of 2022, ArtTable has conducted a survey to better understand compensation—and compensation inequity—in the arts, with a particular focus on gender and compensation. At this collaborative workshop, Dr. Gillian Gualtieri will present the findings from our first white paper report, “Costs of Working in the Arts.” Then, attendees will collaboratively respond to the findings and begin to build solutions and suggestions that will be incorporated into the final document and circulated among members. The solution is not individual, but, rather shared, and we hope this program will be the first in a series of evidence-based workshops informed by and informing our continued research.
This workshop took place on November 7, 2023. Click here to view the presentation from Dr. Gualtieri and the subsequent conversation with the ArtTable community.
